Don't Apologise For Being Human. Ever

A colleague whose kids ran into the room yesterday apologized profusely for the interruption.

It saddens me that we have become so conditioned that we apologize for being human, for being individuals and parents in addition to colleagues and teammates.

As a general rule to anyone who ever works with me: you never ever have to apologize for your kids, cats or significant other appearing on screen or needing your attention more than work. Ever.
